People | Omakase - For the Guests or for Ourselves?
As people passionate about Japanese culture, we liked exploring and experiencing the Japanese culture in Malaysia, even before we decided to start Roku Nana. So when Omakase started trending in Malaysia, we noticed that they were more like fixed menus and set meals instead of the more authentic Omakase that we were familiar with.
We believe that true Omakase is a curated experience that’s unique to every visit. There should be no set menus and dishes to order, and that’s what we decided to do with Roku Nana. Part of our philosophy is to put our guest’s experience first, and we do that by getting to know our guests and their tastes individually.
While many traditional restaurants are created with the idea that diners are there to order and enjoy their own favourite dishes, Omakase is about the chef creating dishes that they curated to suit the guests. At Roku Nana, we offer Malaysia’s largest variety of Saké as well as 3 different kitchens to create new and interesting experiences to share true Omakase culture with the public.
From everything like the fresh seasonal ingredients, down to the specific temperatures and doneness of the dishes, every aspect of your visit to Roku Nana is curated for your enjoyment. This is why our guests will return again and again to explore all the different experiences as we get to know them and their tastes better.
